Recently, Timken has provided technical support for a domestic municipal airport liaison line (“municipal airport line”) project officially put into operation. Timken's extensive experience and advanced technology in the rail transportation field led to the selection of Timken's high-performance tapered roller bearings for this project, which ensure excellent safety and reliability of the vehicles at high speeds.
As an innovative demonstration project of urban railroad, the urban airport line has increased the speed of urban rail transit by more than 50%, shortening the travel time between the two airports from the original 100 minutes to 40 minutes, which not only revolutionizes the transfer between airports and the daily commuting experience, but also provides a successful example of applying cutting-edge high-speed rail technology to urban transportation.
